Tropical Chrismas

A Chic Christmas at Villa Marie Saint-Barth
Forget the dull weather, subzero temperatures and stress of the Christmas preparations, this year you're spending Christmas in the tropics! Imagine a small confetti with the Caribbean sea on one side, the Atlantic ocean on the other, unspoilt white sandy beaches, turquoise water, cacti-covered valleys, flower-filled gardens and multi-coloured huts that offer the perfect blend of French sophistication and Caribbean casualness. Welcome to St Barthelemy, St Barts to friends, and with the island’s warm welcome matched only by the kindness of its inhabitants, you will become one in no time. Your days spent here are filled with tranquillity and pleasure. After being gently awoken by the trade winds followed by breakfast in the tropical garden, the rest of the day is up to you: exploring the unspoilt, languorous beaches, a lunch of grilled rock lobsters with your toes in the sand, a stop at the iconic Sélect bar for a Ti Punch and shopping in the stylish Carré d’Or boutiques. And even though the air temperature is 30 degrees (and the water temperature almost as high), the spirit of Christmas is not forgotten! On the contrary! The palm trees are adorned in their festive attire, the little huts are decorated, and it is even said that Santa Claus will be down at the harbour. When evening comes, there’s a dazzling party atmosphere! Put on your best dress for the wild night life in ever-glamorous St. Barts. Head to “Carole's place” for an incredible evening with the queen of partying or to Bagatelle in the harbour for a festive evening meal. On Christmas Eve, François Plantation serves it's traditional French-style menu with a Caribbean twist for an unforgettable family celebration. And on New Year’s Eve, it’s down to Gustavia port where, at midnight, all of the mega yachts sound their horns in unison beneath a starry sky filled with an impressive firework display. A wonderful way to end the year leaving you, heart pounding, ready for the new one, recharged with all of St. Bart's light.
